30 Day WoW Challenge [Day 29]
29. Something you worked really hard to get.
There are a few things I’ve worked really hard to get in this game. Both of my rare kitty tames were quite a chore. Loque I camped on and off for 6+ months and the week I got him I was out there nearly 24 hours a day for 4 days because I *had* to have him. Skarr was almost the same way. Plus the tame itself is an incredible challenge.
I worked VERY hard on my Insane title. It took about six months from start to finish and I probably dropped about 80 or 90k on various aspects of it. Plus, I leveled a rogue to 70 specifically for the title, leveled two entire professions on her specifically for the title… I spent probably about 100 hours grinding things out. It was so worth it. This title is an incredible testament to hard work.

30 Day WoW Challenge [Day 28]
28. Your favorite boss?
Honestly, Heroic Nefarian is a LOT of fun. I like that fight a lot. Maybe because I didn’t spend weeks pounding my face into my keyboard after wipes on it. But I did that with Heroic Cho’gall and I still kind of like that fight, so who knows.
I really liked the Blood Prince Council in ICC because it was the first fight I ever Hunter-tanked ^_^ But it sucks that they got rid of spell levels, because I can’t tank it anymore. :( WTB Serpent Sting (Rank 1)
In Firelands, Majordomo Staghelm and Ragnaros have both been a lot of fun so far.
Generally I like any fight that doesn’t punish me for being a hunter [Lich King, I’m looking at you!] Though, I will say that I appreciate Blizz removing minimum range from bosses where you have to stack up [Nef pillars, Majordomo, etc] so I’m not completely useless for huge chunks of a fight.
Seriously, though, WTB NO MORE MINIMUM RANGE. Hunters are the only ranged class that cannot cast in melee range. It’s not fair. All melee classes have at least one or two ranged attacks, hunters need at least a couple of melee-range shots. Raptor Strike is a joke, Wing Clip does zero damage, Scatter Shot barely does any damage… Blizz, y u no like hunters?

I used to have another hunter level 20 or so, but I deleted it because I quit playing on that server. I also have a couple other paladins, another rogue and a warrior I quit playing and deleted. I’ve rolled four or five DKs so far, this one is the first one to make it past 60. As you can see, I have trouble leveling mages, too. I make them and then never get them very far. Hope the ones I’m leveling right now will stick… because she is all kinds of adorable!

30 Day WoW Challenge [Day 25]
25. Who do you play with?
When I first started playing, I only played with my brother and his IRL friends. Didn’t pug, didn’t do anything outside of hang out with the guild.
Then I decided I wanted to try raiding. I pugged, geared up and joined a raiding guild. Became more social, met more people, started playing mostly with people I met via raiding and being in a new guild.
I have some friends I know from outside the game who I talk to on real id, but do not play with. I’m trying to get my IRL friends to be in-game friends, too! Also, a couple of my in-game friends became IRL friends. :)

WHERE ARE MY PANTS? AND LEGS?
30 Day WoW Challenge [Day 23]
23. The longest you’ve gone without playing?
8 1/2 months
When I first started playing, I tended to play for 2-3 months then quit for 2-3 months because I had a lot going on with school. I quit cold turkey my last year of school because I *NEEDED* to concentrate on classes and didn’t have time to play at all. I missed the game for a week or so then just forgot about it. I got school under control and wanted to start playing again my final quarter because I needed something to do with my time since my portfolio was basically done… so I started playing again in April of 2010. This is the longest I’ve gone without stopping since I started playing. Since I came back to the game in April, the longest I’ve gone without playing has only been like 5-6 days cuz I went out of town.
I figure the next time I quit, it’s for good. I’m too far along with progression/gear to take an extended break and then come back and grind it all out again. :P
30 Day WoW Challenge [Day 22]
22. Your pets (choose one character)
I recently got the 100 companion pet achievement on Zanbon, so I’m not going to sit here and list them all because… that would be insanity. Instead, you can look here to find my pet collection.
Instead I will talk about my FAVORITE pet!

I *LOVE* the Alliance Balloon. Such a great pet. It’s adorable and for once, I think the Alliance got something better than the Horde on this one. SO CUTE. I have so many pets that I loooove, but right now this is the pet I always have out.
Also, HUNTER PETS.
I’m not really a big collector of pets. Most of the pets I have in my stables I got because of the raid buff they provide.

My first pet ever was this Raptor. Honestly, it’s possible I had a different pet first, but I don’t remember having anything before RonWeezley. He was my pet for a long, long time, too.

I had another turtle for a looong time till this one came out. I hated all the turtle skins, but needed one for tanking when I quested and shit, so I had to have one. Now I finally have a turtle I *LIKE*!

Arcturis was the very first rare I ever wanted or hunted. When I saw him, I fell in love. Seriously, such an amazing pet skin here. But really, the best part is the animation details. When his heart beats, it radiates out from the center of his chest. THAT is why I love this pet.

Loque is the only other spirit beast I ever really wanted. Good lord, the hunt for him was hard. I camped this shit for WEEKS. Stayed out there for literally an entire day at a time. So much happiness was had when the tame finally happened… I think mostly because I didn’t have to CAMP THIS SHIT ANYMORE. I also have Skoll and am wanting Skarr, but only because he’s easily the best cat skin in the game and doesn’t require BM to use.
I don’t really collect many rares unless I LOVE the skin, so I only have a handful of rares in my stable. I prefer rare-by-another-means kind of pets because I don’t have to be BM to use them…

Oil-stained wolf, tamed in Wrath using the haste-tame method with quest item.

The Lone Hunter, tamed with haste, trap and timing.

Armored Battleboar, tamed using timed tame with quest item.

Ghost Saber, timed via standard tame, no special tricks required.
30 Day WoW Challenge [Day 21]
I am a week behind because of Firelands, so I’m going to cheat a bit to catch up and do 3 answers for a couple of days till I’m caught up :-[
21. Your favorite battleground?
Such a hard question to answer. I love so many things about so many of the BGs.
Warsong Gulch has a soft spot because it was my first BG. I didn’t PvP much till I dinged 80 and even then I didn’t really know what I was doing, but “capture the flag” is a concept that even people who have NEVER PvPed before can understand.
I love Alterac Valley. Used to hate it, but now I *love* it. It requires legit strategy to win most times, though a skilled team can turtle up and win on resources if they kill enough people. Also, when you’re leveling, AV weekend = 20 levels for free. Each win is at LEAST half a level.
If the new ones, I have to say I *love* The Battle for Gilneas. At first I was kind of like “ew, bad AB ripoff” but it’s actually a LOT of fun. In a partial-premade guild group, we can easily 3-cap 90% of the time.
I have something I like about basically every BG except Isle of Conquest. I pretty much hate that fuckin place all around.

Get owned, orc.
