I’m so proud of my little Tumblraiders. When I first started this group, I had no idea how far we’d go. It’s been an amazing journey thusfar and I can’t wait to see what else we accomplish in the future. ^_^
FINALLY finished my 25m meta drake. Two years it took me to complete this. And not only that, I finally, after two years, got DBW. It’s completely worthless to me now. But me and this trinket have a history. After all those times it was ninjaed. All those times it was lootwhored by officers in guilds I was in. All those times I couldn’t afford it in GDKP runs. And now it’s in my bags.

After spending more of my weekend than I’d care to admit test driving a few different guild hosting sites, I decided to go with enjin for our “guild” website. Trying to use Tumblr as a full-fledged website isn’t going to work for a raid group of this magnitude, and rather than trying to force the raid to work within the constraints of what Tumblr allowed me to do, I’m just going to use Tumblr as an extension of the raid group rather than the limit to it!
I fully intend to continue blogging about the raids here on Tumblr and I encourage all of you to keep blogging about us, too! The stuff posted here is being auto-posted to the news section of the guild site, and I will be mirroring announcements, raid schedule info, and any pictures I take during raids on here and on the “guild” site.
Please head over to the site and register so you can post on the forums and access all the member-only info. I know there are a handful of followers who are horde side and following this blog to keep up with our activities… you guys are welcome to register on the site, too, if you want to participate in forum discussions and such.
If you are already signed up with me on Real ID you don’t need to re-submit an application! If you haven’t signed up for the raid yet but would like to, please use the application form on the new site!
Tumblr raid #1: The Burning Crusade
Sorry I’m only just now posting this, I haven’t been able to log on to Tumblr for several hours now >_<
Tomorrow, Friday Feb 3, 7pm PST will be the first official Tumblraid!
The plan is to knock out as many BC raids as we can in a 2 or 3 hour period. Check your Outland Raider achievement and see what you need!
We will attempt to clear the “big five”:
- Sunwell Plateau
- The Battle for Mount Hyjal
- Tempest Keep
- Black Temple
- Karazhan
If there’s time, we will finish off the achievement with:
- Serpentshrine Cavern
- Magtheridon’s Lair
- Gruul’s Lair
I will not be reserving loot for anyone unless you are a 70 twink and legitimately need a BiS piece or have signed up for a legendary. Twinks: please message me BEFORE THE RAID BEGINS if there is a piece you NEED so that I may make a note of it.
If you only need one piece to complete a set [final tier piece, etc] we can maybe work something out. I’d like to keep loot as fair as possible during these runs, so I’d prefer to not have almost everything on reserve!
Please reply to this post to sign up for the raid. Since I cannot do cross-realm calendar invites, this is the only way I know who to expect, so I need you guys to reply! If you have not yet sent me your real id info, please make sure I have it! Read this post for formatting your ask.
Also, please bring your favorite outfit to wear for the screenshot! I’ll be taking pictures of our inaugural run to make a banner for this blog!
In the future I will try to post raid announcements more than 24 hours in advance. Optimally I’ll be posting them on Tuesdays so everyone can save their lockouts accordingly. Sorry this first week was a little wonky!

To sign up for Tumblraid, please send me an ask with the following information:
- your real id email [format as name@email(com) since you can’t send links in asks.]
- your character’s name/server [format as name@server] — if you want to participate on multiple toons, just list the main toon you will be playing most
- if you are specifically interested in a certain area of content, make a note of it here so i can get an idea of what raids are in highest demand.
Example:
bobsemail@email(com), bobtherogue@server, need OH glaive for rogue, would like to farm heroic T10 set for xmog
You do not have to be level 85 to participate! You must be able to zone in to the raid, so 60+ for classic content, 70+ for BC, 80+ for wrath stuff, etc. TWINKS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US.
Why am I asking for your real id email? I need to have you added as a real id friend to invite you to raids.
For your privacy I will not share your contact information with anyone. Once I have added you, I will reply privately to let you know I’ve added you, removing your ask from my inbox. The Tumblraid Project: 4.3.2 postponed? LFR instead this week for Tumblraid!
Looks like patch didn’t drop due to a “very bad bug”, so we’re going to have to wait and see if it comes next week instead.
Maybe we can do a Tumblr LFR group this weekend? Would you guys be interested in grouping up for some LFR fun to get us going and once the patch drops in the next week or so we’ll start in on the old content farming?
Depending on my availability, I’ll host at least 3 raids this weekend… one a night, Saturday - Monday, 7pm PST. I have multiple toons I need to run on, so I’m down to do multiple runs. Would be cool to not have to pug anyone and have it be a full 25m premade Tumblr group!
Reply to this post if you are interested using the character@server [class role]format, please! Since calendar invites do not work cross-realm, this is likely going to be the way I do sign ups for raids.

Please note due to cross-realm grouping restrictions, this is only for Alliance players, as my raid-ready toons are all Alliance. I encourage a dedicated Horde Tumblr user to coordinate a Horde-side Tumblr raid! There is a lot of interest!

The Tumblraid Project: Tumblraid followup post
Wow. You guys really responded well to my last post! I was thrilled to see such a positive response from you guys about the Tumblraid project and based on your initial response, I think we will definitely have enough interest to make this happen!
I started this blog [http://tmblraid.tumblr.com/] to keep all info in a single place regarding this project. Feel free to follow the Tumblraid blog, my personal blog, and the #tumblraid tag if you are interested in keeping up with info and participating in the raids. The layout is a work in progress, I’ll need to make a flashy banner for the blog and come up with a super fun logo for my userpic.
First things first, the patch needs to come out. Hopefully everything goes to plan and patch rolls out tomorrow!
Second, I want to do a trial run of something just to make sure I know what raids are possible to do via the battle.net system. Should be everything pre T13 from what I understand, but I’m not 100% on whether T11 and T12 will be possible. We will find out!
I am hoping to have the first Tumblraid event happen the first week of February. Get excited!!!
